João Talocchi

A climate campaigner for 15 years, prior to joining GSCC, João was head of campaigns at Purpose, where he started the agency’s Brazil and India offices. Other past roles include campaigning for Greenpeace Brazil, International and US; leading the Amazonas State Climate Change Center in Brazil and being an underwater and extreme sports video producer. João has led or supported coalitions and cultural campaigns and creative interventions in Brazil, India, Mexico, Argentina, Canada, Germany, France and the US, working with a wide array of stakeholders, as indigenous peoples, health advocates, filmmakers, economists, celebrities, business, politicians, comedians and many in the climate movement. João hold  a biological sciences degree from the University of São Paulo.
